Electric Bike – User Guide
About the Bike
The bike has a range in flat normal conditions of about a 25 mile round trip and you should be able to go up to 15 mph. Once you have switched the power on (the Mode button), the controls are quite easy – simply press +A to get more “boost” – (from +1 to +4 of boost). Of course you can just pedal, without any boost, if you fancy the exercise or indeed if the battery is flat.
We are monitoring bike use to understand how they are used. Each bike has a GPS tracker that knows when the bike is moving. This data will be analysed to calculate benefits to air quality and financial savings for your business. All data published will be non-attributable to individuals.
Please record the use of the bike on the sheet on the clipboard.
- Scan the 2d barcode with your smartphone if you have one to start tracking
- Log your trip - on the form attached to the charging point
- Remove the charge cable.
- Unlock the bike and take the lock with you - along with the key!
- Give the bike a quick shake – to start the GPS into action.
- A helmet has been provided if you would like to use it
- Don’t forget to lock the bike securely whenever you leave it unattended
Returning the bike and charging the battery
- Please leave the bike and tracker on charge for the next user.
- When the Yellow light on the charger glows, the battery is charging.
- If the charger shows a Green light you can switch it off.
- You can either connect the battery directly to the charger, or unlock the battery and plug it into the charger located
